The role

Payments platform team of nine, owning ledger and settlement services. The client is confidential until first call; we will name them before you speak to anyone.

What you'll own

Own ledger and settlement services end to end, from schema to on-call
Bring the payments API to sub-100ms p95 under 4x current volume
Mentor two mid-level engineers joining in Q4

What the client needs

5+ years backend in Go, Java or Kotlin
Production experience with financial data and idempotent processing
Comfortable with a two-day-a-week rhythm alongside the team
